1 Day Fall Yoga Immersion
HOW WE BREATHE: Asana, Breath, Emotions
Join me at Simply Yoga for a 1 Day Fall Yoga Intensive and explore the connection between the breath and our physical, mental and emotional health.
Using the science of physical anatomy, hatha yoga and the Chinese meridian system, students will learn a holistic approach to how we breathe, where there is restriction, and how to both notice and release it.
The day begins with a 2 hour Hatha Yoga class at 10AM, followed by a delicious lunch together at Jolie Plant Based Cafe. We’ll then sit for lecture on the physical and subtle aspects of breathing, and how acupressure can help open areas of restriction. There will be time to practice these techniques on each other, where students will partner up to both give and receive. We’ll take a short break for tea and a snack before concluding our day together with a Meridian Yin Yoga practice.
Throughout this immersion, you will learn specific healing techniques to apply in your own personal practice, as well as use to help others. We hope you will join us for this very special experience together!

The Foundations of Yoga: Beginner Series
Join me at Simply Yoga for this 5 week series to begin and/or develop your yoga practice.
Each 2 hour class will focus on bodily awareness and breathing within foundational postures, as well as detailed explanation of them in “Asana Labs” —where students ask questions and receive direct feedback within the postures themselves.
Expect to gain clarity on how to enter, sustain and exit foundational yoga postures with immediately applicable methods, as well as targeted, individualized instruction for your practice. For this reason, class size will be limited.
Our day will end together with a green juice at Jolie Plant Based Cafe!

Anatomical Breathing
How to Backbend: Spinal Extension
How to Twist: Spinal Rotation
How to Forward Fold: Spinal Flexion
How to Side Bend: Spinal Lateral Flexion
How to Balance on One Foot: Strong Feet/Legs
Putting it all together: Sun Salutations A + B + C + added variations for a full class experience!
